“Translucent glass is crafted so light can pass through it. When I back light my mosaics, the illumination brings an added dimension and warmth to the piece. The candle holders and light boxes are my ongoing experiments in exploring glass illumination and the way light changes color, texture, and mood. I select glass for its translucency and subtle variations so each tile responds uniquely to light. Finished pieces transform throughout the day as natural and artificial light shift, offering new details and tones. Viewers often notice how gentle back lighting highlights edges and imbues colors with an inner glow, making the work feel both intimate and luminous.”
